Technology is an important grapheme of life and therefore it is an important part ofschooling. The National Council for teachers of mathematics states, ?Calculators andcomputers are reshaping the mathematical landscape, and school mathematics shouldreflect those changes.? When students go home, they play video or computer games yet,when they come to school we await them to want to work in books and completeworksheets. These tasks are quite boring compared to the exciting games they concurwaiting on them at home. If teachers could only stand students to custom their technology,knowledge at school as well as at home then the teachers would drive more studentsexcelling in mathematics. Through the creation of such amazing software such asGeometer?s Sketchpad and Geometric Golfer, students cornerstone enjoy learning mathematicsand some students may even find mathematics fun.Without technology, we would not have computers, internet or calculators.These items of technology have chan ged our life in a positive way. Using computerprograms, we can easily show students mathematics. Showing students? mathematics ismore effective than simply telling students what mathematics is. These programs haveevolved through time so that even young children can use them effectively. By allowingstudents to work on computers, they are able to discover mathematics on their own withlittle guidance from a teacher or peer. Since technology is such an important part of eitherday life, it is important to teach all students about technology. We must realize thatsome students do not have computers and video game systems at home. These studentsalso benefit from using technology in the classroom because without it in the classroomthey would be not being candid to the technology. If the student does not know about atleast basic technology then they will precipitate their chances of life success because almostevery business uses some form of technology. By allowing these students to usetec hnology they are being undecided to such great technology that they would not beexposed to it otherwise.The first tool and the most popular technological tool is the graphing calculator.Many students own this tool. In addition, a calculator can be quite handy. Calculatorsreduce the simple addition or multiplication errors that students make. It also reduces theamount of time that it takes a teacher to teach a lesson successfully. Students can use thegraphing abilities of the calculator to cooperate their grasp concepts such as graphing and theycan use the calculator to check their work such as derivatives.
